About TaskFirst AI
TaskFirst AI is run by Nathan Deeble — a UK small-business owner who has spent years building companies and using AI tools every day to keep them lean. The editorial “we” you read on the site is deliberate: this is a one-person operation building in public, paying for these tools out of our own pocket, and testing them on real client work rather than on staged demos. We'd rather under-claim than fake a team.
Most “best AI tool” content is hype-driven filler, often with fabricated “hands-on” claims. That helps no one and, increasingly, breaks the rules. So TaskFirst does the opposite: every guide aggregates what named publications and real users actually report, verifies current pricing in GBP against each vendor's own page, and runs honest free-tier checks where it can. We label a guide Researched until we've genuinely sat down and used the tools ourselves — at which point it becomes Tested with a fresh verified date.

How the affiliate links work
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy that tool, the vendor may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. The vendors we currently have, or apply for, affiliate relationships with include Fliki, HeyGen, Synthesia, Pictory, InVideo AI, Veed, Colossyan, and others named in individual guides.
Three rules we don't bend:
- Recommendation first, commission second. The shortlist for every guide is decided before we look at commission rates. We won't move a worse tool above a better one because it pays more, and we won't add a tool to a guide just because it has an affiliate programme.
- No paid placement. Vendors do not pay us for inclusion, position, or favourable wording. If that ever changes, it'll be labelled clearly as a sponsored post — not buried in a normal review.
- Honest evidence labels. We say Researched when we've aggregated named reviewers and real users; we say Tested only when we've actually used the tool ourselves. The two are not the same and we won't pretend otherwise.
All outbound affiliate links route through our internal /go/… URLs and carry rel="sponsored nofollow", so the raw affiliate URLs are never displayed in the interface. This complies with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidance on identifiable affiliate marketing and with the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules.
